The Church College-Access Sponsorship Toolkit

This toolkit is for ministry leaders who see the college access gap in their community and want to do something about it. It's not about buying an online course. It's about sponsoring an architecture of access — a structured, six-month program that gives your youth the roadmap, the tools, and the support they need to get into college, pay less to be there, or enter the workforce with a plan.

01

Why College Access Is a Ministry Issue

When a young person in your congregation doesn't go to college because no one showed them how, that's not just an education gap — it's a calling gap. Your ministry can be the bridge between talent and opportunity.

TakeawayCollege access is a justice issue. Your church can be the bridge.

02

How Sponsorship Works

You sponsor a cohort of 10 to 100 students. Each student gets six months of full access to all three pathways — University, Career, and Workforce — plus 80 lessons and the adaptive support system. The church funds the sponsorship; the students get the roadmap.

TakeawayYou fund. They get the roadmap. The community gets the impact.

03

The Impact Framework

Don't measure success by courses sold. Measure it by lives changed: students who file the FAFSA, students who apply to college, students who secure scholarships, students who enter the workforce with a plan. We give you the tracking tools.

TakeawayMeasure lives changed, not courses sold.

04

How to Fund a Sponsorship

Three proven funding models: congregational giving (a special offering or line item), grant funding (we help you write the grant), and partnership funding (a local business or foundation sponsors a cohort). Most churches use a combination.

TakeawayThree funding models. Most churches combine them.

05

Real Stories

Churches that sponsored cohorts saw students become the first in their families to enroll in college, secure thousands in scholarships, and return to their communities as mentors. The impact compounds — one sponsored cohort changes the trajectory of a community.

TakeawayOne cohort changes a community's trajectory.
